I've always wanted to paint, but was afraid I couldn't. This week I decided I wanted to buy some acrylics and see if I liked to paint. I love whimsical scenes so that's what I think I need to paint. I'll post my first painting later this week. I don't expect too much since I've never had any lessons, but I expect to have fun.
See you later!

Polymer Clay Cats: Some are pen/pencil holders some have a hook for hanging. Fun to make and share! |
Will probably put some of these for sale on my Etsy shop: CozyCatDesigns.etsy.com. Do you think cat lovers would like a cat pen holder? What else would a cat lover like? Or what would a person buying for a cat lover be looking for? Please share your ideas!
Thanks for looking, Ginny

I just finished this new Cat Bed Nest. It would also make a lovely holder for yarn if you knit or crochet.
Today I'm going to work on making cats with polymer clay. I think a pen/pencil holder featuring a cat in a pretty color. I don't always stick to my plans so I'll post what I make. I'll try to remember to take pictures along the way. I'll try to post them Friday. So please check back to see what I made.
see you next time!
Did you know? I make and sell cat beds at CozyCatDesigns.etsy.com. You should take a look.

Working on a Cat Cave Bed. The wool top was laid out - 6 layers layers of wool then a resist then 6 more layers of wool. The design was then laid on top of the white wool. Warm water and soap was added. I manipulated the wool until it started to hold together. Now it's ready to full. It will shrink about 33% and I will work it into the shape I want, cut an opening and remove the resist and work some more. I will post the finished Cat Bed this week. The finished product will be a warm cozy resting place for a lucky cat. Let me know what you think. I think it looks like a party is going on.
This
is my first post on my new blog - pull up a chair and get to know me
better.
Creating
is fun. I grew up in a home that valued creating things. My earliest
memories of crafting is when my mother taught me to use her sewing
machine. We always had a special crafting room with tables full of
lots of supplies that had been collected from nature and yard sales.
We had a little bit of everything. At one point we had a basement
full of ceramic molds and a kiln for firing our creations, rock
tumblers, and the list goes on and on.
I
love to try new things and share ideas, so if you have a craft, a
special place, a recipe, a pet that's special to you, or something
fun you’d like to share, please join me on my new blog.
My
interest are family, pets, and my crafting. Currently I have a shop
WestCoastCraftyGirls.etsy.com where I have my polymer, crochet, and
felting creations for sale. I am also on Etsy at
CozyCatDesigns.etsy.com. I just opened this shop for my items
related to cats, but West Coast Crafty Girls still has some cat
related items there. Cozy Cat Designs has handcrafted unique cat
beds and will have gifts for cat lovers. If you love cats or are
looking for a special gift for a cat lover, please check out my shop.
